OT: Cross-platform Video Format

I had no trouble finding the links to the videos. The problem I ran in to was 
the window that opened when clicking on the link complained about an attempt 
to open a pop up since I had Firefox set to stop pop ups. When I let it show 
the page it looked like it was starting to load some data (a progress bar 
appeared) but then it complained about the lack of jre. I installed the Java 
Runtime but then the browser completely hangs when trying to show the page 
that presented the progress bar.

At this point I don't know if the videos are viewable in Linux with mplayer or 
not since I can't get to the point of seeing the video.
