Linux still largely invisible in the marketplace

Actually my first first Linux experience was with Lasermoon Linux (from
UK), as demo live disk on a PC Windows (?) magazine cover disk. That was
a live system with html, glimpse full text indexing and gui!! In 1996 or
so ? I still have that cover disk somewhere. That system was very
impressive. Think of the functionality of a contemporary Knoppix etc
system on a cover CD 10 years ago.
