Oh, to have a place in Toronto like FreeGeek in Portland 
(www.freegeek.org), with a business and community model that every 
computer recycling program should dare to emulate. I've never seen 
anything better.

Their program is that you earn a free (refurbished) computer in return 
for putting in 24 hours of volunteer time, helping put together  
computers for others. When I was there the place was bustling.
