cutting, pasting, & merging pdf files in linux?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there are tools (free or commercial) to merge, cut,
paste, etc. pdf files? I have two pdf files I want to merge and also a
page or two that I want to cut out as a separate pdf, but am not sure
which command to use. Any suggestions? (I usually create the pdf using
dvipdfm from latex).
