Simple (I hope) perl question

Thanks Tom and Alex!

   I've been kind of thrown into perl (and programming at all, for that 
matter) head first so I am doing the best RTFM'ing I can in the time I 
have to work. When this is over though I will certainly hit Perlmonks 
and the perl CGI man page.

   In the mean time, I appreciate all your patience!
