Looks like you already have a cupsd process running:
If you do a 'tail /var/log/cups/error_log' you should see it says "
StartListening: Unable to bind socket for address 00000000:631 - Address
already in use." or something similar.
Try doing 'killall cupsd' several times until it says "cupsd: no process
killed". Then try starting 'cupsd' again.
