transparent firewall (proxy arp?)

Thanks to everyone who responded!  It turns out I'm just a tool.  :)


Proxy Arp works just fine, provided that:

1) You make sure you have a default route configured.  D'oh.

2) Even though I wasn't using any iptables rules yet, the default policy
on the FORWARD chain was set to 'DROP'.
