Actually, the new WinFS is simply an NTFS filesystem with an SQL
database used to store detailed metadata about the files. The files
themselves are still stored in NTFS.

And I wouldn't mention WinFS when talking about performance; we all know
the minimal requirements for Windows Longhorn will include a P4 2.4GHz :)
