RH9 ISO Updateing, How?

I tried doing this once and ran into problems, can't remember if it was 
because the loop mounted iso was read-only, but I guess you'd have to copy 
the whole ISO to a different directory, then replace the updated packages, 
and do an mkisofs for all 3 cd's.  I was hoping there was an easier way 
too, but the next release of rh can't be that far off now.
