rpm -e grub (or using a W98 bootdisk, fdisk /mbr will clean the mbr, but
it really isn't necessary unless the mbr is fubar'ed)
rpm -Uvh lilo (should overwrite the mbr if that's where you put it)
edit lilo.conf
run lilo (until it comes clean)
make a boot disk
reboot
