Language skills vary, not everyone speaks proper English and nobody should be
penalized for that.  Some consider vernacularism cool, while to others it's
patois.

I agree vis-a-vis HTML: it's plain rude to use it; then again, there's plenty
of people on this list who revel in their rudeness.
