[GTALUG] Upgrade from Ubuntu 12.10

- From the Ubuntu login screen, the desktop selector is the circle in
the top-right corner of the login dialogue box.  Click on the circle,
then select your preferred desktop environment. Some desktops put a
logo in there (the Ubuntu logo for Unity, the bigfoot logo for Gnome),
but the MATE desktop just has a blank circle.
