[GTALUG] Seeking help with a unique Linux project?

Wow that must have been amazing.  The Linux audio list at yahoo groups is 
full of people mostly in Europe who use command line Linux tools for their 
music work, some of them are authors of packages included.
Still it would be fun to witness it firsthand.
