28 windows, each with multiple tabs? That might be a problem ... I
find Chrom{e|ium} is better at handling the tabs and Javascript, but I
still prefer Firefox for the plugins.
As for Java - I'd suggest removing the plugin. Java in the browser is
a memory hog and a security risk, and if a page "needs" it you'll see
a broken plugin sign - so you'll notice the lack. But I suspect if
it's used anywhere, you'll find it's ads (on older sites).
