[GTALUG] Does Chrome make Ubuntu 12.10 viable?

Also, I clicked on the red triangle icon on the panel, and the updates 
started! A lot of them - took over five minutes. I rebooted, and it's 
still Ubuntu 12.10 (quantal). So, no Ubuntu version upgrade but the 
updates took. Firefox still asking for Adobe Flash update, but Chrome is 
playing videos fine.
