I got my first modem thanks to that game.  One time when my wife was at
my office, I showed her the Adventure game on a VAX 11/780.  She asked
if she could play that game on my computer (an IMSAI 8080).  I said no,
but if we had a modem...   I was soon the proud owner of a 300 baud
manual connect modem.  ;-)
