In the Parkway Mall at Ellesmere/Victoria Park, there is a small one man
operation in a store whose sign simply reads "Computer Store", which sells
a range of used laptops from very cheap to not so cheap.

Along Bloor, just east of Christie, there is a Factory Direct store which
often has used/reconditioned laptops. And Steve at Above All Electronics,
also on Bloor but on the south side and further east, closer to Palmerston,
will occasionally have working laptops, or alternatively junk laptops which
can be taken apart for components.

None of these are particularly near Queen and John, but hope you find
something you can use.
