> Ford's such a nut on saving taxpayer money, he might just leap on top of
the project with both feet - leading to a quandary for his opponents: do
they knee-jerk oppose the project just because he's in favour of it, or do
they support it for philosophical reasons of not supporting a big American
company?

I am not a fun of Ford but that don't mean I would trash a good idea just
because it was raised by Ford. That's just a tad insane, so yes, I would
support such a great suggestions.
Taxes is a subject I am passionate about and I am not shy of supporting.
Seriously, however painful taxes are, it well proven that a society
without taxes usually goes to the dog petty fast. Look around and you will
notice only those countries with high taxes are doing well. It can't be
luck, the pattern is too consistent.
Now, its good idea to try to be efficient with tax usage, which Ford may be
good at, but I also find he oppose all taxes but not necessary the
service. For example, isn't he a big supporter of subways where above
ground train is cheaper? You can't eat a bread and still have it, that's my
bead with him.

the current issues with Toronto's political scene; saving money by
switching to Linux is probably not a priority.

Yes, think he will be doing very little work for a foreseeable future now.
His main work is survival now. Wouldn't count him out, people love him and
he has a live of a cat

happens!

Hate the word gravy for some reason I don't know.
