Never mind that perhaps the science was what was provided to them to
save their child.  If you believe any of that.

Reminds me of the story of the guy sitting on top of his house during a
flood who keeos turning down being saved by someone in a rowboat, because
he expects god to save him.  When he finally drowns and complains about
not being saved, god tells him that he sent a guy with a boat 3 times
to save him.
