You may not have heard anyone place such a requirements,  but you can't
tell if someone will not use that as an excuse to avoid supporting you when
they run out of idea.

I did get such a suggestions actually on a netbook I bought from Amazon.
The funny thing it was completely dead. So I politely asked her how should
I go about that since as I indicated on the ticket, it don't even power up?

She backed up and arranged for me to send it out.

In short, don't think its OT, its something all of us would need once in a
while. I am actually curious if you can try and install from those DVD
without installing the crapware. That would be a good knowledge to take
from this thread.
