2.4Ghz vs. 5GHz antenna

Actually, yes there is.  An antenna has to be designed for the 
appropriate frequencies.  In fact, the simplest antenna, a half wave 
dipole, made for 2.4 GHz would be a very poor antenna at 5 GHz.
