Domains not resolving

I tried those (and 216.239.32.10) in /etc/resolv.conf, but it didn't help.
URLs in .etc.hosts don't do anything, either.
On the laptop, /etc/resolv.conf contains 192.168.0.1 (the router).
I just discovered the command resolveip, and it resolves the addresses just
fine.
