But it being the latest CPU will easily run all your existing code.
Now if you want to optimize the last 0.1% out of it, then sure you can
recompile again.

I did not.  I expect it requires a windows only driver to work.  I run
root on a raid1 hardware mirror on a pair of 120GB SSDs and I run my
mythtv recordings on a software raid5 over four 1TB WD blacks.
