Apple sells a complete package, computer and OS.  On the other hand, it 
is often difficult to buy a computer without Windows, even though 
Microsoft had absolutely no role in building that computer.  If this 
plays out as some claim, then when you buy a new computer, you will have 
no option but to run Windows 8.  Even on the Mac, you can still install 
Linux or Windows if you wish.
