Dennis Ritchie passed away

Jobs was not only a geek of sorts but also a businessman. He was tied
strongly to the image of his product, which - love it our hate it - is very
popular in the mainstream.

Lack of news doesn't lessen Dennis' contributions, it just means that he was
less of a public figure or publicity hound.

RIP.
