sympatico's SMTP server changed: need a new work-around

I don't usually send mail thru Sympatico, but when I tested
it, it failed.
So, I also switched my SMTP server from smtp1.sympatico.ca
to smtp10.bellnet.ca .

What is your plan when smtp10.bellnet.ca fails in the future?
