Believe me, I'm praying that someday someone comes up with an open solution.
When I heard about HTML 5 I was so hopeful, but not much has come of that I
guess. Most of the world is still Flash, or even worse, Silverlight.

I think the second one is more accurate. I should not have called it a
'flash bug'. I totally understand what you mean about Flash. It can be a
serious pain, but I've grown quite fond of certain sites like Democracy Now
and the like, so I guess it's a necessary evil.
