Forcing HTML rendering in Firefox... how?

Hi all, 

When browsing local filesystem using Firefox, if a file doesn't end in 
recognized ending, Firefox reads it as text.  How do I force HTML interpretation 
by Firefox?  Lynx equivalent would be '-force_html' option.
