I just tried it.  A T510 just went from:

Seems like that works to me.

It only applies to certain models of course.

I just somewhat randomly picked:
T510 with intergrated graphics
Added bluetooth
Upgraded to intel 6300 AGN wifi (excellent linux support)
Upgraded screen to 1600x900 (You can never have too many pixels).
Upgraded disk to 320GB 5400rpm.
