Most times folks will break out a good old Serial Terminal connection on 
these things.
Look up uucp and the cu command to get yourself started on that.

Debian Installer supports Serial Consoles well and from what I've been 
reading is one of the distro's with the Best ARM support at the moment.

Alternatively.

Other folks just prepare a root file system on a USB drive and then boot 
that instead.
