Sugar laced drinks can be cleaned with hot water.  Clean water is not 
harmful to electronics.  In fact, circuit boards are cleaned with it or 
steam during manufacture and back when I was a computer tech I often 
used water.  Just make sure to get it all off.  You can use alcohol to 
help with that.
