Changing the topic a bit to address this situation, what do you 
people think about the concept and implementation of OpenID?

A few months back, I thought I would try this with a few sites that 
support it, using my Gmail account. The problem was that some of the 
sites required my identity URL (e.g. 
<http://freshmeat.net/session/new>) instead of just providing a 
"Google" button to click on. For the life of me, after much 
searching, investigation and experimenting, I couldn't figure out how 
to determine what my identity URL for Google should be. I haven't 
looked into it since.
