odd that an event like this can be canceled by one person?
obviously if the event survived primarily by the one person and no one (or few) can step in,
obviously the event owes itself to this one person, and it is what it is.
I am surprised there isn't people to pick it up, especially if the attendees, speakers and sponsors
are "not" the reason.

reminds me of centos incident from a year or two ago.
