Is 54Mbit wireless like "hub" or "switch"?

I have 54Mbit wireless-G for home network.  Is 54Mbit speed for the
whole network (like hub) or for each wireless device (like switch)?  I
was wondering, if 2 mythtv clients are watching TV at the same time,
whether 54Mbit is dedicated to each or spread over both.
