Best analogy would be... how would you boot a harddisk that contains
Windows 97, Windows 98, Windows 99, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, etc.
:-)  Each partition will have both OS and "root" boot loader.  And,
you would have MBR with simply the list to jump to.
