I have an Acer Aspire 4720 Z running fine under Debian (dual booting
Vista, simply for RDP, which worked under Vista but I never actually
got going on a Linux platform - no longer needed as that job ended). I
originally loaded Ubuntu, but I had a number of (Ubuntu) issues and
eventually got tired of fixing them. Debian has been fine, very few
problems.

Can't comment on your model.
