Recommended fonts for X on 11.6" netbook?

  I got a basic X going with TWM on my netbook.  Fluxbox blows up
because a basic xorg-server install doesn't install any fonts.  I have a
ton of fonts to choose for downloading from Gentoo's repository.  Any
comments on Adobe, Bitstream, B&H, Lucida, etc?  I'm the old-fashioned
type who prefers monospaced serif, e.g. Courier New.
