Questions from a Linux user considering a Macbook

Dear EK,

Did you get out of the bed on the wrong side or something?

I have no idea how long you've been using Linux, but based on the number
of floppies I used in my first Linux install and the number quoted for
early Slackware releases, it appears that I've been using Linux since
about 1993. I administered Unix systems for 10 years before that. I
currently administer 4 Linux systems, including a laptop and a MythTV
server. And I have 2 iMacs (since 2004), a MacBook Titanium (since
2002), and a MacBook Air. So I think I have some perspective.

If on the other hand you were asking about Linux versus Windows, you
wouldn't hear a peep from me, because I've never had to use Windows (or,
in fact, any M$ software) for more than a few minutes at a time.

I'm glad Marc got some value from my posting.
