I still do some C++ development on Linux (and Mac/Windows) though I'm 
about 80% Java these days in terms of paid work.  I know someone who 
uses SDL and seems to like it.  Even my game applications aren't that 
graphics-oriented, so I'm more a Qt/wxWidgets kind of person when it 
comes to toolkits.
