OT: Internet at home without active phone line

I used iproute2 to load balanced my home net connection between Cybersurf 
DSL (static IP) and Rogers Cable (DHCP) for years.  Infact I only got rid 
of it last month.  The only reason I had a static address on even one of 
the links was because I was running servers in the home.
