OT - Being 787 issues, does this mean carbon composite has issues?

I have a friend who worked for many years in Bombardier in Toronto. He
says that now, they take parts to assemble from manufactures in Mexico.
He is an engineer. And he says that he never ever before saw so
disastrous components to come to their factory.
So...
Actually, I never ever studied that problem myself. But... How it
happened that Toronto factory fell into private hands?
