I need to back up a client database that is stored on Pervasive SQL 2000i

Hi Chris.

I suppose I should have mentioned that I searched Pervasive's website and called them about this problem.

They said that I'd have to upgrade my client to version 9 or 10 of the database. The lady then proceeded to quote me a ridiculous price for the upgrade.

Thanks,
Amos

For a bit of history...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Btrieve
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pervasive_SQL

Documentation is available:
http://ww1.pervasive.com/support/technical/online_manuals.asp

I presume that they have a backup utility; DBMSes usually do.

There also exist third party products for this:
