Short answer: yes.
Long answer: You will need to work at it.
Out of the box, the wired and wireless network adapters don't work. You
will need to download the source and compile the drivers. This means you
will also need all the usual build packages and kernel source, so it's
best to download and install using the Debian DVD. Keep a memory card handy.
Once you've got the network up, there will be some smaller issues like
getting the Fn key combos working properly which will require some bash
scripts, though they're out there so it's mostly just copy/paste.
The camera may or may not work right away. It did for me, but Ubuntu
uses a new kernel.
The trick here is that the PC 1000H uses "bleeding edge" hardware (the
Intel Atom CPU and associated chipset) and Debian is proudly behind the
times. I have no doubt you can get it to work, but be ready to get to
know your new machine quite well in the interim.

PS - If you do, please keep notes and post a wiki! If you don't have a
wiki of your own, you are certainly more than welcome to use mine (link
to my in-progress Ubuntu wiki is in the OP).
