GPRS or wireless provider recommendation

Hi all,

I would like to hear wireless (Wlan) or GPRS/G3 provider recommendations with
good coverage in Toronto (and possibly elsewhere in urban Canada, i.e. Montreal
etc). The availability of prepaid service or short term contracts would be a
strong bonus for me.

Please tell good/bad experiences. This is for myself, for connecting to the net
using a laptop while travelling in said areas, but with an eye for permanent
service for an elderly Torontoan gentleman whom I would like to help with good
advice since I'm at it.
