Samba and Vista

Sorry for dropping into this thread so late. I just recently (2 months ago) went
through this. Vista must be tweaked in the registry to tell it not to use the
funky m$ only encrypted lmhosts handshake on login. There are messages on this
on the net. Vista comes with that setting on and will not talk to a normal samba
server (even a recent one). True for Vista Basic at least.
