There is no option for settting the BIOS to SATA, native or otherwise,
even with the latest BIOS (2006).
In Type, the options are:
Not Installed
Auto
CDROM
ARMD
On the hard drive, the only option is to jumper it to 150Mb/s or
3.0Gb/s(unjumpered).
