Careful, it does kinda depend on the device. What version of libgpod and
rhythmbox?

iPod Classic and 5th gen Nanos are only supported as of libgpod 0.6.0, IIRC.

If the latest iPods are working with 8.04 out of the box, that is really really
great work on the part of the Ubuntu team.
