Use wipe(1) with suitable options and hope for the device not to use the wear
balancing mechanism OR make the entire device a single file (mountable FS image,
encrypted), and wipe that. This second option should work even if the wear
balancing works. wipe(1) is very configurable. Also reading the Guttmann paper
on file wiping is a must step imho.
