weird problem with Evolution email

I haven't run into that one myself, running evolution on Kubuntu (not sure
which version, it's not handy at the moment).  Possible debugging step: have
you tried deleting messages with the mouse instead?  Might narrow it down
from a keyboard problem to an application problem.
