Thats what I thought it was doing. My ignorance of /proc is astounding so I 
never would have found the correct file.

At any rate, what a difference at the Web site, Konqueror and Firefox get 
selected pages up almost instantly not 30 - 60 seconds later.  Now to make it 
permanent on all my computers and distros.

Thank you for the fix to the fix.  Much appreciated.
